Senior year in College. I'm graduating at the end of Spring Semester. D: BUT I DONT WANNA LEAAAAAAVE. I seriously love being in Visual Language. My classmates are awesome and I feel totally at home in our building downtown. Junior year was a blast there, even though it was literally boot camp. I can't recall how many late nights I had there, but it was still awesome to the max.
We are just about finished with our senior film, "Atlas' Revenge". Except in the previous journal, I said they were tables and chairs. But when we got back after winter break Junior year, Jim Story, our former director (our new director is a graduate named Brad - He's an interesting guy..:3) changed it to a story of a fish in a fish tank meeting a plastic vacuum fish [dubbed Robofish] and all the chaos that happens afterwords. We were grouped into character designs for our fish named Atlas, and Robofish and any gags going into story boarding. :3 I got to help out designing the Robofish and the final drawing was done by Brice in our team.
Ironically I also got to help out modeling Robofish. But what I really did in there was UV texture mapping: skinning the blasted model and evening the spaces so they don't look distorted when you put on the skin and texture. I can't actually say that it would be fun for anyone to do, but I like it. Although I think I'm a bit masochistic for liking long and tedious things.
The rest of the time, I was animating the film. Great stuff. I've also gotten a chance to render/composite and fool around with time warp to motion blur some stuff too.
We sent our nearly completed film to the Siggraph festival. Although yesterday we just found out that we didn't make it. I guess it was tough this year since there were over 700 entries that were in there and we were still in the middle of fixing a bunch of shots when we sent it.
Now that we have time, we've been finishing up. A bunch of stuff has been fixed since we we sent it. It looks a ton better.

Currently we're just working on projects and demo reels as well as polishing up our film. :3
I still don't want to leave. D; That means I need to look for a job or see if I can get a graduate degree.. I hear a couple of buddies are attempting Rhythm and Hues as well as Pixar and Disney. Maybe I should look for something like that too. :3 But good luck to them..!
On a bit of a worrisome note:
My little parrot, Rachel, is about 14 years old and has developed a cataract in her left eye. Her right eye appears to be doing the same, but it's nowhere as bad as her left. Since she's a Quaker parrot and therefore pretty small, surgery will be kinda hard on her. D: And there's no type of medicine to stop the cataract or get rid of it.
On the brighter side, she's perfectly healthy and enjoys mocking people and chatting a garbled mess to overlap anyone's conversation. I love her just as much as I love Quaker and I just don't want her world to go dark. She's probably been through a lot before we got her at 4 years old, her feathers were mostly plucked and she was timid and hissy towards anyone getting near her. She's been doing so much better now, even though her feathers probably wont ever grow back. D: The only thing I can really hope is that either her cataracts don't wind up impairing her vision too much, or that someone finds a safe medicine for birds that can shrink cataracts.
On the brighter side, from what the vet told me, she's a healthy and content old biddy with a bit of arthritis. I wish those 50+ dollars could have at least given her a way to see better instead of giving her a standard checkup and telling me something that I already knew.

Although being Trenia also means I'd have to be able to answer most people's questions if they ever ask. ("If" the ask... <_<' ) Of course, I could also be a prinny, dood.
Hopefully I'll get better at this Disgaea game. I totally feel bad when my characters are killed.
Except the Prinnies though. They explode when thrown and I try not to laugh.
